Estate Liquidation · Connecticut

Estate liquidation in Connecticut, handled start to finish.

Hestern Auctions is an online estate auction house in Prospect, CT. We liquidate full estates, family homes, and inherited collections through documented online auctions that reach bidders well beyond Connecticut.

What we handle

Most of the families we work with are clearing a parent's home, settling an estate, or sorting through a lifetime of belongings. We take on full-house estates as well as individual collections and standout pieces, and we manage the process so you're not doing it alone.

After the sale, we also offer clean-out and cleaning services so the space is ready to hand off, list, or move into.

Common questions

How does an online estate auction work?

Your items are photographed, catalogued, and listed for bidding on AuctionNinja. Bidders place bids online during the auction window, and winners pick up their items on a scheduled day. Hestern manages the process from walkthrough to settlement.

When do consignors get paid?

Settlement typically goes out one to two weeks after the auction closes, with an accounting of every item sold.

Does Hestern buy estates outright?

Most estates are consigned to online auction, where bidding determines the final value based on real market demand. In certain cases, we also offer to buy a seller's items outright instead of consigning them. Contact us to talk through your options.

Is Hestern Auctions related to Dave Hester?

No. Hestern Auctions is an independent Connecticut company and is not affiliated with Dave Hester Auctions.
